1 PerhapsthesechildrendidgrowuponDisney,butifso,theirapparentchoiceto
turn away from it would merelyconfirm arguments about the pernicious effect
ofviolentmediaforthosewhosubscribetothem.

thisinstanceBrownisattemptingtolocateameansofunderstandingthatposition
otherthanthatofa‘‘woundedidentity’’inneedofredress.
