BIBLIOGRAPHY
Primary Sources
If the work lacks an identifiable author, I omit the pseudonym, giving the title, the
publishing house when possible, and the library or collection in which the book may
be found (rare works only). For consistency, I also list authored novels and all other
pre-twentieth-century sources by their titles, except if the work is a translation, in
which case I list it according to the translator under Secondary Sources. The list of
novels only includes works to which I have had access and have actually cited and read
for this study.
